The Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, 2.3 million acres of varied landscape, extends from the Blue Mountains down to the Snake River on the Idaho border. 
 Klamath National Forest
California
Klamath National Forest covers an area of 1,700,000 acres located in Siskiyou County, California and Jackson County, Oregon.
 Pike-San Isabel National Forest
Colorado
San Isabel National Forest is located in central Colorado. The forest contains 19 of the state's 53 fourteeners, peaks over 14,000 feet.
